CHAPTER ONE

I am wondering what brought you to this page. Maybe you are considering making affiliate marketing your dream job. After reading this I hope you will feel like sharing what attracted you with me and our larger audience. You see, I have enjoyed a variety of careers, mostly within the hospitality industry, which for comparative value I will no doubt share over time. But one of my jobs was the highlight of my life, my dream career, and clearly outside the norm.

LADY OVER THE ROAD

This would be my long-haul semi-truck driving job and later, a business and a career. As a team, which we were used to being in restaurants, my husband and I shared a double bunk condo for most of eight years, making our way between Los Angeles and New York, or some other 2500 mile cross country trip, weekly.

But how do I make the connection between driving truck and affiliate Marketing?

I’ve never felt too down on my luck because I believed then and I believe now, a closed door means there is an open one waiting. So, when the bottom line of our restaurant business of over twenty years, consisting of five establishments, finally reached zero, we had to get serious about finding a new career.
